Christmas Day

The kids slept in till a reasonable hour. Thank goodness! We had a fun day of opening presents and playing with all of our new toys staying in our PJ's and lounging around all day. Oh, and what else could complete Christmas day besides lots of snow and lots of shoveling! Thanks Dorian for dedicating about 3 hours to that!
We ended our night with She-Crab soup (I have dreams about this soup) and Apple Dumplings for dessert. The next day was work for the both of us. I'm glad everything is closed on Christmas day! It was a fun day with just the 4 of us. I wouldn't change a thing.

CHRISTMAS EVE 2008

This Christmas Eve we were invited to got to the Bowman's for the evening. Lynsey went all out and decided to make the WHOLE turkey dinner, have a little nativity reenactment, make candy trains, open presents, eat dessert and play games. It was so nice to spend some good quality time with some of our really good friends, especially since they're fun!

James while he was a shepherd. (carson didn't want to be Joseph, so they switched)

Red Paint

About a week ago my friend Lynsey called up and asked what the color of Red was called that we painted our dining room walls with. I told her it was called Theater Red and that we got it a Sherwin-Williams. She said she would be painting a board, and she really liked the type of red in our house, and thought it would be the perfect color.
I told her that we still had some leftover, but I wasn't exactly sure where it was, and if it was any good. If it was in the garage it was probably frozen. I told her I would get back to her about it, and have Dorian look for it.
Well, every time I had Dorian look, he was in a hurry to get out the door, until finally I needed to look and I wasn't waiting for Dorian ANY longer! I went in the garage and found it up high on a shelf. I stepped up onto a 5 gallon bucket to get the paint. When I stepped off my ankle twisted and I fell on to my wrist and knees. Don't forget we pregnant gals are oh so graceful! :o)
My first thought when this happened, was "great I just broke my ankle (it hurt pretty bad) and I'm going to be the pregnant girl who has to walk around in a cast." The pain was gone 5 minute later....EXCEPCT for my wrist. That hurt for a few days. A week later and I'm practically healed.

Here's the wrist:

Now, what in the world was she making that she needed this red paint for and caused me an injury?

What a wonderful surprise. I've actually always wanted a board like this, I've just been too lazy to make one myself. Thanks Lynsey for the AMAZING gift! I love it and I had such a blast hanging out with you guys on Christmas Eve.

KICKS

Kicking Pictures, Images and Photos
(NO! THIS IS NOT MY PICTURE!! THANK YOU PERSON OFF THE INTERNET!)

This isn't news to some, but I am now 19 weeks and I still haven't felt the baby kick 100%. I'm always iffy about whether I had felt it or not, and those days where I wondered, well, they were few and far between. Today I was laying in bed, and I asked Dorian if he wanted to feel my big old prego stomach (mostly the top of my uterus, since that was fresh on my mind. I had a dr. appointment today). He hasn't felt my stomach since I've been pregnant, and hasn't show much interest. He responded with a somewhat enthusiastic, "Sure!" He put his hand on my stomach to feel it kick, and I said, "NO, no, no! This baby is not kicking yet. You won't feel anything. Here's the top of my uterus!" He thought that was pretty cool, and then put his had back on my stomach and wiggled it. Then the baby KICKED....then kicked again!!! I have been feeling the baby all day. It's like he/she was waiting for their daddy this whole time. Dorian must be magic, because I have spent day after day and night after night laying in bed trying to feel my baby kick or move, and not until today when the daddy tries does it do anything! :o) Fun day.

Ward Christmas Party

Last Friday we went to our ward Christmas party. It was fun. I always love going to parties! My little James takes after his Momma. We walked into the church and JD said, "I Looooove parties!!!" Here are some pictures of our night.

Dorian and Nate didn't leave this table all night. They happily played games and shut out the rest of the world (well, practically)!!! Hey, as long as they came, I'm not complaining!!! :o)

JD soooo engrossed in the singers! It was pretty cute.

What if it's a girl?

Okay, just so you're all informed, I'm pretty sure this next baby is yet another BOY. We're not going to find out...it will be more fun that way! muhahahah!
Carson is DEAD set on the baby being a boy. He's wanted nothing else from the time that we told him there was a baby in my tummy. So, I asked him today, "what are you going to do if the baby is a girl?"

Cute Outfit Pictures, Images and Photos

C: I'll run out of this house!!!
M: Why?
C: Why? (imagine a HUGE attitude with this word) Because I DON'T like girls!
M: Well, I'll tie you to a chair so you can't run away!
C: I'll tie them off, and runaway.
M: Where are you going to runaway to?
C: To Seattle!

Well, Granny and Papa, you'd better get ready to raise another kid if this baby is a girl. He's not budging an inch! :o)

FIGHTER ARE YOU READY??

I also have a little clip of us decorating the Christmas Tree on the post below.

OH CHRISTMAS TREE...

We put our tree up and decorated it the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The tree is my favorite part about christmas decorations. It makes me feel all happy inside. The kids had a blast helping. It was their first year putting the decorations up. I know, I'm crazy! Why not earlier?? I'm a little OCD, and this is actually the first year ANYBODY had helped me. I've done it by myself every other year. It was hard not to worry too much about where the ornaments were being placed, and enjoy our time instead. I wasn't perfect, but I did better than I thought I would do! :o) Here are some pictures to enjoy!

My shirt says:
I Eat Brains
You're Safe.......I'm quite proud of this shirt!! :o)
