The Pumpkin Patch

I AM SO BEHIND ON MY POSTS!!!

A couple of weeks ago we went to the pumpkin patch. we got a couple little ones, never carved them, and now here we are on the day of Halloween. Oh well. That's what you get when you have a pregnant mom of 2 boys who never stops running around with all sorts of crazy activities, and a dad who always seems to be working. At least they are going Trick-Or-Treating! Pumpkins aren't everything right!?!

IT'S TRUE...

AND HERE'S THE PROOF:

almost 10 weeks
(last Sunday)

Apparently when you have your 3rd child, your muscles don't hold anything in! So here I am in all my glory at only 10 weeks BARELY able to hide it with sweatshirts and big flowing shirts. Luckily I won't have to hide it anymore.
We went to the DR this morning, and got to hear the heart beat. They aren't doing an ultrasound until about 20 weeks, so I guess I won't get a little baby gummy bear picture with this kid.
My due date is May 20th, and my weeks change on Tuesdays. I will be 11 weeks this Tuesday.

~My Mom~ 10.23

It is my mom's birthday today. She turned 54 today. I am going to do what my sisters Jacy and Megan did and list 26 reasons why I am so grateful for my mom. (26 because that is how old I am.)

1. She always reminds me to pray when I'm having a hard time.
2. She's a stellar example when it comes to going to the temple
3. She taught me that it's important to have regular dates with the hubby
4. She loved and accepted Dorian before I even fell in love with him
5. She has an amazing testimony, and in turn, helps me want to have one of my own
6. She blows my mind that she has raised/is raising 6 kids
7. She was always there for me when I procrastinated, and would spend hours at night helping me type my report (she's WAY faster than me.)
8. Then she would make sure I knew how stupid it was to procrastinate
9. She supported me when I played volleyball
10. And when I participated in Track and Field
11. And choir
12. And band
13. We share a passion for TWILIGHT!! How could you not love that about somebody?
14. She's always there to listen to me when I cry
15. She always gives me advice at how I can make something better. Once she gave me the best advice anybody had EVER given me, and even my husband is grateful for that! (it got me off his back)
16. She understood how much of a social person I am and let me be with my friends a lot
17. She has given me some of the BEST casserole recipes ever
18. I think she spoils me sometimes :o)
19. I'm her favorite daughter even though she'll never admit it. I know this because she rubs my feet
20. She would always tickle my back in sacrament meeting, or let me lay my head on her lap or shoulder
21. She still loves me even though I was such a horrible teenage daughter
22. She sets a good example of what I SHOULDN'T be watching on TV
23. She came to visit when I had Carson and tried to help me....he was a really fussy baby
24. She came to my apartment in Washington after I had James to make me dinner and help/visit with me. It was really nice. I think I had a bit of postpartum depression.
25. She took care of me when I was bit by a dog (16 stitches), had my tonsils and adenoids removed and when I got my wisdom teeth taken out
26. She would always bring me my lunch when I forgot it, or would come and pick me up from school if I had cramps. (you can't ask for more than that!)

Thanks Mom and Happy Birthday!!!

ps.
don't you just love how we copied you jacy?!?!

OUR PRAYING MANTIS

Back in September we found this little guy by our front door. James really wanted to grab it, so I let him and it freaked him out!!! He stayed there for a while, and we enjoyed his presence.
RIP little praying mantis! I found him recently while I was sweeping up dirt. :o(

VOTING CLOSED!

Okay. With my heart of hearts I wanted to send in #2, but that's why I had a vote, and #1 won! I had to take it down, because the picture is not supposed to be displayed publicly. By a landslide #1 was chosen to be the picture to send in. So, I'm going to do just that. I was REALLY torn between #1 and #2, but I think 1 shows his personality more than just the "posing look" of number 2. Thanks for all of your help, and here's another that I didn't put up for you to vote on, but is just too cute!
AGAIN!! Thanks for all of your help!

THE GREAT WOLF LODGE

While we were in Washington, Joni and Whitney took us on a trip to The Great Wolf Lodge! It was so fun. We spent the night there and enjoyed the water park and the kids really got into the MagiQuest. CLICK HERE

All of the floors at the lodge were a different theme!
FIRST FLOOR: Forgotten hall
SECOND FLOOR: Pixie's Hall
THIRD FLOOR: Whispering Woods
FOURTH FLOOR: Piney Path (where we stayed)
FIFTH FLOOR: Tangled Woods
STAIRWAY: Enchanted Woods

One Example of the MagiQuest is:

HEALING RUNE QUEST

Shadow moss and knothole fungus,
root the forest fern,
pure tree slim,
find all in time then quickly, Magi, return
tot he princess fair and she'll prepare
a potion for the ill,
And very soon, the healing Rune,
bestow on you she will.

A PICTURE OF A LEAF
If forest fern you wish to earn
then PIXIE'S HALL may hide it
Traverse thru all of that long hall
and Bravely there you'll find it.

A PICTURE OF SHADOW MOSS
The shadow moss you'll come across
Closer to PIXIE'S PERCH
Look at the stairs, then turn around
That's where you'll end this search.

A PICTURE OF TREE SLIME
It's now the time to find tree slime
Deep in ENCHANTED WOODS.
So climb up the stair, if you dare
I really think you should

A PICTURE OF FUNGUS
Fungus, fungus Everywhere
Along this ENCHANTED path
NEAR THE ELEVATORS it grows.
But if it gets upon your clothes
You'll have to take a bath

After you found all of these things and waved your wand at them (they would light up and say things to you) you would go back to the tree and get your rune and start a new quest. Even Dorian and I were having a blast with it. It's kind of addicting to wave your wand at all the pictures, treasure chests and random things all through out the lodge. WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK AGAIN SOMEDAY!

To see the Crazy water slide we went on:

Joni about had a heart attack when she went down this slide. She had NO IDEA what she was in for!
It was a blast, and at least once a week Carson asks if he can go back when he's 10.

THE NEW TWILIGHT TRAILER!!!!!

Twilight HD Exclusive Trailer

Just a pretty picture

Dorian took this picture while he was out fishing yesterday. It's so beautiful! I guess I got SOMETHING GOOD out of him fishing besides a happy husband! Now I have a beautiful fall desktop picture too!

Do you know what Idaho is is Spanish?

Idaho Pictures, Images and Photos

Carson was finishing lunch today, and he asked me, "Mom, do you know what Idaho is in Spanish?" I looked at him like he was a weirdo, and I said Idaho is just Idaho. He said, "no mom, Idaho in spanish is Crabiasta." The funny thing is that he was so serious about it! I asked him where he learned that, and he said that he just knew it. He's a crazy boy!

DELAYED DEVOTION by DUFFY

TURN OFF MUSIC BEFORE PUSHING PLAY!

Here's Carson singing his little heart out! We might need to work on some of the words. This is one of his favorite songs and every time I have it playing on the computer when I'm cleaning, I catch him singing along. He really got into it this time! :o)

Our Conference Set-Up

Carson's sunbeams teacher made a goodie bag for conference. He could hardly contain his excitement, and would ask everyday when he would get to open it. Inside were the following things:
- 3 coloring pages. 2 of Jesus and one of "I will follow the Prophet."
- Popcorn
- Kool-aid although they had to compromise with apple juice. I didn't have a whole cup of sugar....WEIRD!
- CANDY! (tootsie rolls, suckers, fruit snacks, a honey oatmeal snack bar, an airhead, and dots)
- An I am a Child of God sticker
- A picture of Jesus and the Children

This bag was a great Idea. I put the table in the living room in front of the TV and told them that we had to sit there and be quiet for 2 whole hours and listen to the prophet and the apostles speak. JD and Carson did so good! I was impressed. With 25 minutes to go they started struggling with sitting there, but I wold say on the whole, it was a success! Now I'm wondering what I'm going to do about tomorrow. Maybe I'll have to stop at walmart on the way home from work tonight. Dorian won't even BELIEVE this!!! :o)

My little tree climbers

We went to Grandma-ma's and Grandpa's house (my parents) to visit. The kids had a fun time with Grandpa in the yard. They especially loved climbing the tree. Carson thought he was the coolest thing ever. JD liked it too, but not quite as much as carson did. That's why there are more pictures of Carson.
note: this first picture and the rest are different days, but the kids have been lovin' trees lately.
